Colonic hydrotherapy & infusions

Every session uses closed-system equipment with a qualified practitioner throughout. Infusions are an optional $30 add-on — available from your third session onwards, for reasons worth reading before you book.

The four infusions

What each one does

Tap an infusion to see how it works and who it suits.

Organic Coffee InfusionLiver & detox support

Absorbed through the colon wall and carried via the portal vein straight to the liver, prompting it to release stored bile and increase glutathione production. Very little reaches general circulation, so there's no caffeine hit.

Not suitable if you have

High blood pressure, adrenal fatigue, a heart condition, known caffeine sensitivity, pregnancy or breastfeeding, or an active inflammatory bowel flare.

Probiotic InfusionRebuilding gut flora

Introduces beneficial bacteria directly into the large intestine, bypassing the stomach acid and bile that destroy much of an oral probiotic before it ever arrives.

Not suitable if you have

Generally well tolerated. If you have a diagnosed gut condition, raise it with your practitioner at screening so they can confirm it's appropriate for you.

Turmeric InfusionCalming irritation

Turmeric with ginger, cinnamon and chamomile — aimed at soothing the gut lining and supporting the body's natural anti-inflammatory response. A gentler option than coffee.

Not suitable if you have

Gallstones, a bleeding disorder, a hormone-sensitive condition, or active diarrhoea.

Alkalising Greens InfusionRehydration & minerals

A mineral-rich blend intended to rehydrate and support the body's natural pH balance, countering the more acidic internal state a diet high in processed food, sugar and caffeine can build up. The gentlest of the four.

Not suitable if you have

Kidney disease, low blood pressure, or severe IBS or bloating.

Matching them up

Which infusion suits which concern

A starting point, not a prescription — your practitioner will confirm what's appropriate for you once they've seen how you respond to a standard session.

Before you ask for one

Why we don't add an infusion at your first visit

New clients become eligible from their third session onwards, once a standard course of colonics has been completed. After that, an infusion can only be added if your last regular session was within the last 3 months — beyond that your practitioner no longer has a current enough picture of your health to judge whether one is appropriate. If it's been longer, or you're not sure where you stand, contact us and we'll check with your treating practitioner before you book. Here's the reasoning.

1

We need a baseline from a standard session first

Your first appointment is how your practitioner establishes how your body handles the treatment — hydration, transit, how much is released and how you feel afterwards. Introduce an infusion at the same time and, if something doesn't agree with you, there is no way to determine whether it was the colonic or the blend.

2

Every infusion has its own contraindications

Coffee is unsuitable for anyone with high blood pressure or a heart condition; turmeric for gallstones or a bleeding disorder; greens for kidney disease or low blood pressure. Screening for these belongs in a consultation, not in a request made at reception on the day.

3

How much is released varies enormously

A well-hydrated colon behaves quite differently to a dehydrated one, and the same person can respond differently from one session to the next. Some clients release a great deal at a first session; others comparatively little until the bowel has rehydrated and relaxed. Neither is a problem, and nobody can predict which it will be in advance — that unpredictability is exactly why your practitioner wants to observe a standard session before adding anything to it.

4

It isn't clinically indicated yet

An infusion should follow an assessment, not precede one. Until your practitioner has seen how your body responds to a standard session, there is no clinical basis for selecting one blend over another — and recommending one regardless would be a commercial decision rather than a clinical one.

Booking an infusion

Blends are freshly prepared on the day, so infusions must be requested in advance rather than added on arrival. Because they're made up specifically for you, a same-day cancellation incurs the full infusion fee alongside the session fee — see our fees page for the full cancellation policy.
