Ongoing tiredness or low energy is one of the more common concerns clients raise with us, and it’s a genuinely broad symptom — sometimes tied to diet, sleep and stress, sometimes to a medical condition that needs its own diagnosis and treatment.

What contributes to fatigue

Poor sleep, high stress, dehydration, low iron, and a diet lacking in whole foods are common everyday contributors. Digestive sluggishness itself can also be tiring — a body working hard to process a backed-up system has less energy for everything else.

What colonic hydrotherapy does

Clients focused on energy often choose a coffee infusion for liver support, or an alkalising greens infusion for rehydration and mineral support. Many report feeling noticeably lighter and clearer straight after a session — though we’re careful to frame this as a supportive, often short-term effect rather than a cure for underlying fatigue.

What your therapist checks before your session

Persistent, unexplained fatigue needs investigating rather than managed with a course of sessions. Anaemia, thyroid dysfunction, low B12 or vitamin D, sleep apnoea and depression all present as low energy — and the first four are answered by blood pathology the naturopaths here can arrange, through a private laboratory, paid directly to the lab. That is usually a faster and more thorough starting point than hoping a colonic resolves it, and it is naturopathic work rather than something to hand straight to a GP.

Unintentional weight loss, unusual paleness or breathlessness on ordinary exertion should be looked at promptly. Where results point to something needing a specialist, we will refer you to your GP with a letter of findings and recommendations.

What to expect

If ongoing fatigue is your main concern, we’ll usually ask about your sleep, diet and stress levels alongside your session, and may suggest a short course rather than a single visit.

Fatigue often overlaps with brain fog, detox support and hormonal imbalance.

Frequently asked questions

Can a colonic cure my fatigue?

We're careful not to claim that. Fatigue has many possible causes — some straightforward (poor sleep, stress, diet), others medical (thyroid issues, anaemia, sleep apnoea) and needing proper investigation. If your fatigue is persistent or unexplained, tell us rather than assume a colonic will resolve it — the naturopaths here can arrange blood pathology for iron, thyroid, B12 and vitamin D, which answers most of it, and work on what it shows.

Why do some clients feel more energised right after a session?

Many clients report feeling lighter and clearer immediately after a session, which some attribute to no longer carrying retained waste, plus the effects of a coffee or greens infusion if chosen. This tends to be a short-term effect rather than a lasting fix for underlying fatigue.
