Happy to pay on the day, or settle it online in advance — including gift vouchers for someone else.
What you're paying for is who's in the room
There is no government registration, no minimum training standard and no register of who is practising. A short certificate course is legally enough to perform a colonic on you, and a clinic is under no obligation to tell you that's all its staff hold. Most people booking a colonic have no idea this is the case.
We'd rather you knew, and applied the same four questions to us as to anyone else.
What are they qualified in besides colonics?
A colonic certificate can take a few weeks. It shows someone can run the equipment — not that they can recognise a contraindication or tell you when to see a doctor instead. A prior tertiary qualification in naturopathy, nursing, myotherapy or remedial massage means anatomy, physiology and pathology sit behind that judgement.
Are they a member of a professional association?
Associations set entry requirements, enforce a code of practice, and publish a register you can search. No membership means no external body standing behind their practice.
Will they give you a membership number?
A number you can check on a public register is the difference between a credential and a claim. Anyone unwilling to give you one has told you something.
Do they screen you before treating you?
A full health history and contraindication check should happen before anything begins — every time, not just on a first visit.
Our answers, so you can check them
Every practitioner here holds a qualification in naturopathy, midwifery, myotherapy or remedial massage alongside their colonic certification — listed by name on our team page, along with the association membership every one of them holds, and a membership number for each of them. ATMS publishes an open register you can search by name and number — ours or any other clinic's. MAA and ANTA don't publish one, but will confirm a membership on request — MAA or ANTA. All three have a complaints process an unregulated operator simply isn't subject to.
How to choose a colonic clinic — the full guide →What each session includes
Initial Consultation
$150.00
Your first visit includes pre-screening, a review of your health history, a clear explanation of the procedure, and your initial colonic session — provided no contraindications are identified.
Regular Consultation
$150.00
For returning clients who've had a session in the last 6 months. Includes personalised treatment and ongoing care advice. Once you pass 6 months without a visit this rolls into a Re-assessment Consultation automatically — same price, just with a health update first.
Re-assessment Consultation
$150.00
If you haven't attended in the last 6 months we need a brief health update to confirm colonic hydrotherapy is still appropriate. Newly diagnosed conditions, recent surgery, injuries or medication changes all need reviewing to rule out contraindications. Please arrive 10–15 minutes early to complete a new medical form. The fee is the same as a regular session.
Colonic Infusion (add-on)
$30.00
Blends are freshly prepared on the day and introduced during the final part of your treatment. Infusions must be pre-booked, as preparation is tailored and time-sensitive. We don't offer infusions at a first visit, so we can assess how your body responds to a standard colonic first. An infusion can only be added if your last regular session was within the last 3 months — beyond that your practitioner no longer has a current enough picture to judge whether it's appropriate. If it's been longer, or you're not sure, contact us and we'll check with your treating practitioner before you book.

Payment of fees
Fees are due and payable on the day of your session. If you'd rather settle it beforehand you can pay online, though there's no discount for doing so and no obligation to. Infusions are freshly prepared each day and need to be requested in advance of your visit.
Cancellation policy
We understand life doesn't always go to plan — but missed or late cancellations affect others waiting for care. Each colonic appointment is booked for a full hour, and when it's cancelled on the same day it's usually too late to offer that spot to someone else.
We send an SMS reminder the day before your booking, usually around midday. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please call us on (03) 9388 0080 any time up to the day before your appointment.
Same-day cancellations and missed appointments incur a fee equal to the full cost of the scheduled service — including any infusion that was booked and prepared for your session. By booking an appointment you agree to this policy.
Private health insurance
Colonic irrigation is not covered by private health insurance, even when performed by a registered naturopath or other healthcare provider. The session is classified as colonic hydrotherapy, not a naturopathy consultation, and health funds reimburse based on the service provided as well as the practitioner's qualifications.
If you have been able to claim at another centre, that was likely processed incorrectly and may constitute insurance fraud. Misrepresenting a claim can have long-term consequences, including refusal of future cover across health, life, home and car insurance.
NDIS
Colonic hydrotherapy is not routinely covered under the NDIS. In some circumstances it may be considered, if all of the following apply:
- You are self-managed or plan-managed — not NDIA-managed
- The treatment is clearly related to a diagnosed medical need, such as chronic constipation unresponsive to laxatives, or bowel preparation for a procedure like a colonoscopy
- You have written clinical justification from a relevant health professional
- Your plan includes suitable funding categories, such as health and wellbeing supports
You must get pre-approval from your fund manager or support coordinator before booking — we're unable to liaise with the NDIS directly, and coverage is never guaranteed. If approved, we can provide a paid invoice after your session so you can seek reimbursement.
Home Care Packages & Aged Care
Colonic hydrotherapy isn't typically included in government-funded Aged Care packages. In certain cases it may be considered, if:
- You're on a self-managed or plan-managed package, not one managed by My Aged Care
- The treatment is clinically justified — for example chronic constipation not responding to laxatives, or bowel preparation before a procedure
- Your care plan allows for health and wellbeing services supporting digestive health and quality of life
Seek prior approval from your package provider or case manager before booking. We can't liaise with Aged Care providers or guarantee reimbursement, but we can issue a paid invoice after your session so you can claim directly.
