Terms & Conditions
Last updated
These terms apply to your use of this website and booking a session with Colonics Hydrotherapy Melbourne. By using this website or booking with us, you agree to these terms.
General information only
Content on this website is general in nature and provided for information purposes. It isn't intended as a substitute for a proper health screening or professional medical advice specific to you — see our disclaimer for more detail.
Independent practitioners
Each colonic hydrotherapist and allied health professional practising from our premises is an independent contractor operating their own practice. They work from the same location and share our facilities and administrative support, but each practitioner is responsible for their own clinical decisions, treatments and outcomes. Any clinical concern should be raised with your treating practitioner — call us on (03) 9388 0080 and we'll connect you. Qualifications and association memberships for each practitioner are set out on our team page.
Bookings and appointments
Sessions can be booked online or by phone. No referral is required to book as a private client. See our new patients page for what to expect at your first visit, including our pre-session health screening, and how to prepare for the appointment itself.
Cancellations and missed appointments
Each appointment reserves a full hour of a practitioner's time. Cancellations and reschedules must be made at least the day before your appointment. Same-day cancellations and missed appointments incur the full session fee, including the infusion fee where an infusion was booked — infusions are prepared fresh specifically for your visit. See our refunds policy for the full detail, including retail products and gift vouchers.
Fees and payment
Session fees are due and payable on the day. Current fees are set out on our fees page. Colonic hydrotherapy isn't claimable through private health insurance, Medicare, NDIS or Home Care Packages.
Health screening and contraindications
Every client completes a health screening before treatment, and you agree to disclose your full and accurate medical history, including anything that may seem unrelated to digestion. We may decline to treat you, or recommend you see a doctor first, if screening identifies a contraindication — this is a clinical precaution, not a judgement call made lightly. Where you've had recent surgery or are being treated for an acute gastrointestinal condition, we require written clearance from your treating doctor or surgeon before proceeding.
Accessibility
Our building is over 100 years old, with no lift and narrow doorways. We can generally accommodate minor mobility needs in our downstairs treatment room if you tell us when you book, but we don't have the equipment required for moderate or severe mobility needs. Please raise this with us as early as possible so we can discuss it before you travel here.
Results may vary
Outcomes from colonic hydrotherapy vary from person to person depending on your specific circumstances and how your body responds to treatment. We don't guarantee a particular health outcome — our satisfaction guarantee covers service quality, not clinical results.
