Alkalising Greens Infusion
Reviewed by our qualified colonic hydrotherapists — naturopaths and allied health practitioners, including ATMS, ANTA and MAA members

An alkalising greens infusion is a mineral-rich, rehydrating blend introduced during your closed-system colonic session — one of four optional add-ons alongside your treatment.
How it works
The infusion is built to rehydrate and support the body’s natural pH balance, countering what’s sometimes described as an “acidic” internal state that can build up from a diet high in processed food, sugar and caffeine. It’s generally the gentlest of our four infusions.
What it may help with
Clients most often choose an alkalising greens infusion alongside detox support, fatigue and low energy, skin congestion or PMS symptoms — where the goal is general rehydration and mineral support rather than a more targeted infusion.
Who shouldn’t have one
Alkalising greens infusions aren’t suitable for everyone. Your practitioner will advise against this option if you have kidney disease, low blood pressure, or severe IBS or bloating — this is covered during pre-session screening before any infusion is added.
Medication matters here too. If you take a potassium-sparing diuretic — spironolactone, amiloride, eplerenone — or another medication that raises potassium levels, tell us at screening. A mineral-rich blend isn’t appropriate alongside those, and it’s a straightforward thing to catch beforehand.
Booking an alkalising greens infusion
Infusions are freshly prepared each day and need to be requested ahead of your visit — same-day cancellations incur the full infusion fee. New clients become eligible from their third session onwards.
After that, an infusion can only be added if your last regular session was within the last 3 months, so your practitioner has a current picture of your health — including any medication changes — when judging whether it’s appropriate. If it’s been longer than that, or you’re not sure where you stand, contact us and we’ll check with your treating practitioner before you book. See our fees page for current pricing.

Frequently asked questions
What does an 'acidic body state' actually mean?
It refers to the idea that modern diets — high in processed food, sugar and caffeine — can push the body's internal environment toward a more acidic state over time, which some practitioners link to fatigue and sluggish digestion. An alkalising greens infusion is intended to help counter that, alongside rehydration and diet more broadly.
Who shouldn't have an alkalising greens infusion?
It isn't suitable if you have kidney disease, low blood pressure, or severe IBS or bloating. Tell your practitioner if you take a potassium-sparing diuretic such as spironolactone or amiloride, or another medication that raises potassium — a mineral-rich greens blend isn't appropriate alongside those. Screening covers this before the infusion is added.
