Meadowsweet contains methyl salicylate, the natural relative of aspirin, so this is not one for anybody sensitive to salicylates or told to avoid aspirin. Bitters also stimulate stomach acid and bile, consult with your health professional first if you have a stomach ulcer or reflux.
