Always read the label and follow the directions for use
Read the words "medically diagnosed" on the label carefully. This is for irritable bowel syndrome a doctor has already confirmed — it is not a way of working out whether IBS is what you have. Bloating, pain and a changed bowel habit are also how several conditions that need proper investigation announce themselves, and a probiotic doesn't tell them apart. If nobody has looked into your symptoms yet, that is the first step, and we'll say so. It is also refrigerated at 2–8°C, so collect it when you can get it home to a fridge. If symptoms persist, worsen or episodes become more frequent, talk to your medical practitioner.

What you're paying for
UltraFlora IBS Soothe is one strain and nothing else: Lactobacillus plantarum 299v at 20 billion CFU a capsule. The label indicates it for the relief of symptoms associated with medically diagnosed irritable bowel syndrome — gastrointestinal pain, discomfort, bloating and excessive gas — and for alleviating mild gastrointestinal inflammation. Metagenics sold it as UltraFlora GI Soothe until the rename; it is the same capsule.
Two pack sizes, same capsule. At one to two capsules a day the 30 lasts between two and four weeks and the 60 between four and eight, so the larger pack is the cheaper way to buy it once you know it suits you.
It lives in the fridge. Paying here reserves a bottle from our refrigerated stock — collect it from reception and get it home to a fridge. We don't post orders, and this is one we could not post even if we did.
