Colonic infusion ingredients: coffee, greens, turmeric, and probiotics

Colonic Infusions – Targeted Detox Support

Looking to enhance your detox experience? Our Melbourne colonic hydrotherapy centre offers advanced infusions designed to support deeper cleansing, gut health, and overall vitality — including organic coffee, probiotics, turmeric, and alkalising greens.

Infusions are available to returning clients and only after we’ve assessed how your body responds to a standard colonic. This ensures a gentler, more effective outcome.

Why Coffee Colonic Infusions?

Organic coffee infusions are one of the most popular choices — and for good reason. When introduced rectally, coffee is rapidly absorbed via the colon and directed to the liver, where it helps stimulate the production of glutathione — a powerful antioxidant that binds and eliminates toxins. This method is 3.5x more efficient than drinking coffee and can help:

  • Boost liver detox pathways

  • Stimulate bile flow to aid digestion

  • Improve bowel tone and movement

  • Reduce symptoms like brain fog or bloating

  • Support skin clarity and energy levels

Coffee is introduced during the final 10–15 minutes of a regular colonic session and held gently under guidance.

Who Should Avoid Coffee Infusions?

Coffee infusions may not be suitable for those with:

  • High blood pressure (hypertension) – caffeine may stimulate the nervous system and raise blood pressure.
  • Adrenal fatigue or chronic stress – stimulating the liver via caffeine may burden already taxed adrenals.
  • Heart conditions – caffeine may increase heart rate and cardiac workload.
  • Sensitivity to caffeine – can cause jitteriness, anxiety, or insomnia.
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding – caffeine absorption (though minimal) may still pose a risk.
  • IBD (Crohn’s or Ulcerative Colitis) – active flare-ups may worsen with stimulants.

Your practitioner will assess your suitability during your consult.

Probiotic Colonic Infusions in Melbourne

Looking to support your gut from the inside out? Our probiotic colonic infusions introduce billions of live beneficial bacteria directly into the large intestine — helping rebalance your microbiome where it matters most.

Unlike oral probiotics, this method bypasses stomach acid, improving absorption and colonisation. Ideal for clients experiencing gut dysbiosis, inflammation, candida, or post-antibiotic recovery.

Key Benefits of Probiotic Infusions

  • Restore balance to your gut flora

  • Reduce bloating, gas, and candida overgrowth

  • Support immunity and nutrient absorption

  • Assist conditions like IBS, diverticulitis & ulcerative colitis

  • Aid in weight regulation & blood sugar balance

  • Improve overall digestion and energy levels

Why Gut Bacteria Matter

Your microbiome is home to trillions of organisms that regulate digestion, inflammation, immune response, and even mental clarity. When disrupted by stress, poor diet, or antibiotics, symptoms can arise. Probiotic infusions help restore the natural balance — fast and effectively.

Turmeric Colonic Infusions

Harness the ancient healing power of turmeric — infused directly where it counts.

Turmeric has long been prized in Ayurvedic and traditional Chinese medicine for its potent anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and antioxidant properties. Its active compound, curcumin, supports liver function, gut health, joint pain, immune balance, and even mood regulation.

But curcumin is notoriously hard to absorb when taken orally. That’s why turmeric infusions via colonic hydrotherapy are gaining popularity — bypassing digestion to deliver therapeutic benefits directly through the colon wall.

Our infusion combines organic turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, and chamomile — a synergistic blend for enhanced absorption, gut support, and reduced inflammation.

Potential Benefits:

  • May support gut healing in conditions like IBS, colitis, and candida

  • Helps reduce bloating, gas, and inflammation

  • Encourages better bile flow and liver detox

  • Can assist in hormone balance and brain fog reduction

  • Rich in antioxidants and adaptogenic support

Who Should Avoid Turmeric Infusions?

Turmeric infusions may not be suitable for those with:

  • Gallstones or bile duct obstruction – turmeric can stimulate bile production, potentially worsening symptoms.

  • Bleeding disorders or taking anticoagulants – turmeric has mild blood-thinning effects.

  • Hormone-sensitive conditions – turmeric may influence oestrogen levels.

  • Active diarrhoea – turmeric may further loosen stools.

Your practitioner will assess your suitability during your consult.

Alkalising Greens Colonic Infusions

Help your body rebalance, rehydrate, and recover — from the inside out.

Our modern lifestyles often tip the body into an acidic state due to excess meat, dairy, alcohol, and processed foods. When this balance is off, the body may draw on vital reserves — like calcium from your bones — to maintain a stable blood pH, potentially contributing to issues like inflammation, fatigue, and chronic disease.

Our Alkalising Greens colonic infusion is designed to deliver a highly absorbable blend of detoxifying nutrients directly to the large intestine. This supports pH balance, boosts oxygenation, reduces inflammation, and enhances cellular repair — all while bypassing the digestive process for better absorption.

🌿 A nourishing, alkalising formula infused via the colon for deeper detoxification and vitality.

Potential Benefits:

  • Supports optimal pH balance and detox pathways

  • May reduce systemic inflammation and oxidative stress

  • Aids red blood cell production and tissue healing

  • Can improve body odour and sluggish digestion

  • Offers a nutrient-rich boost for whole-body wellness

Who Should Avoid Alkalising Greens Infusions?

Alkalising Green infusions may not be suitable for those with:

  • Kidney disease or on potassium-sparing medications – many greens are high in potassium, which can affect kidney function.
  • Low blood pressure – highly alkalising ingredients may reduce blood pressure further.
  • Severe bloating or IBS – some greens may cause temporary gas or discomfort in sensitive individuals.

Your practitioner will assess your suitability during your consult.

When Can I Start a Colonic Infusion?

We don’t recommend starting with colonic infusions during your first session. Most new clients come to us with chronic issues that have built up over time, and the initial 2–3 sessions are focused on clearing impacted waste and understanding your individual bowel mobility. This foundation is essential for getting the most benefit from any infusion.

Once your bowel function has improved and your therapist is confident in how your body responds, an infusion may be introduced—usually from your third session onward. Your therapist will guide you on the most suitable option based on your health history and current symptoms.

To book a colonic infusion:

  1. Discuss your suitability with your colonic hydrotherapist during your appointment. This ensures the right infusion is selected based on your health profile and goals.

  2. At the time of booking your next session, let reception know you’d like to add an infusion. Pre-booking is essential as all infusions are freshly prepared at the start of the day and cannot be offered at short notice.

  3. If you need to cancel, please notify us the day before. Once an infusion is prepared, the associated fee will be charged to cover the fresh ingredients and preparation time.

To book, you can call us on (03) 9388 0080, email us, or use our online booking system.

Colonic infusions are an optional add-on to your standard treatment.

  • A standard colonic session fee applies.

  • A small additional fee is charged for the preparation and use of the infusion (e.g. coffee, turmeric, probiotics, or alkalising greens).

Yes. Colonic infusions are freshly prepared in limited quantities each morning and cannot be reused or stored for future sessions. If you cancel on the day, the infusion will still be charged to cover the preparation and wastage.

To avoid this fee, please provide at least one day’s notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

If you’re a regular client at our clinic who hasn’t had a colonic in over 3 months, we may still recommend a standard session first before introducing an infusion. Regular clients seen within the last 3 months can book an infusion directly, pending discussion with their colonic hydrotherapist.

How We’re Different

✅ We use a modern hygenic closed system that ensures your privacy, no odour or sound, and allows total control during the cleanse — for safety, dignity, and comfort.
⚠️  Many other centres still use open systems. These involve waste passing into an open basin, often leading to sound, odour, and mess — and you’re usually left to manage it without practitioner supervision.

Find Out Why More People Are Choosing Closed Colonics – See Why It’s the Gold Standard in Colonic Care.

so you’re getting care that’s holistic, evidence-informed, and tailored to your body’s needs. Our practitioners are more than just colonic hydrotherapists — they bring extensive clinical knowledge to support your health on a deeper level.

✅ All our colonic hydrotherapists are also qualified naturopaths, nutritionists, midwives or other health professionals — not just certified in colonics but trained to understand your body, health history, and goals.
⚠️ Many other centres accept practitioners with no formal health background, which can limit the quality and safety of your care.

✅ Our practitioners offer advice based on your health history and what’s observed during the session — including through the viewing tube. You’ll receive holistic pre- and post-care recommendations to support digestion, hydration, nutrition, and gut repair.
⚠️ Most other centres offer little or no personalised guidance after your session, leaving you without a clear path to maintain your results.

We work with your body’s natural ability to cleanse and rebalance — without harsh chemicals or invasive techniques. Above all, you’ll be treated with compassion, respect, and complete discretion. Your comfort and care are always our top priority.

✅ We never make exaggerated claims or use scare tactics. If a parasitic infection is suspected, we’ll recommend proper stool testing through a reputable lab before offering any treatment advice.
⚠️ Some centres falsely claim they can “see parasites” during a colonic — pressuring clients into unnecessary sessions or product sales. In truth, stringy mucus or undigested food can resemble parasites, but visual diagnosis is neither accurate nor ethical. Be cautious — and check their social media or website for misleading claims.
🚨 These practices are not only unethical — they may be deceptive and potentially harmful. If you’ve been misled or pressured in this way, you can report the business or individual to the Health Complaints Commissioner (HCC) and Consumer Affairs Victoria (CAV).

✅ We conduct a full pre-screening to check for medical contraindications, and your practitioner stays with you, controlling the entire process — pressure, flow, rhythm.
⚠️ Many other centres leave you unattended or use open systems with minimal oversight.

✅ Our practitioners are trained to minimize any impact on your natural gut flora, and we provide guidance on supporting gut health post-treatment.
⚠️  Many other centres offer no post-care advice With unqualified staff and a narrow focus on just the procedure, most centres do not address the impact on gut flora — and rarely provide guidance on how to restore or support your microbiome.

We prioritise clear, compassionate communication, ensuring you understand every aspect of the treatment and feel supported throughout your wellness journey

Your session takes place in a private treatment room with an adjoining ensuite, using a closed-system setup that maintains your comfort, dignity, and privacy from start to finish.

✅ You’re never left to figure it out alone. Your practitioner explains the process, checks in throughout, and answers any concerns with clinical understanding and genuine care.
⚠️  Other centres often lack practitioner presence or offer a one-size-fits-all approach.
